International students promote Taichung to the world
President Cheng Tao-Ming and the Office of International and Cross-Strait Cooperation led fifteen international students from Japan, Nepal, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mongolia, Myanmar, and Malaysia to visit the Taichung Hub of Taichung City Government. Deputy Mayor Bruce Linghu and other officials from the Tourism Bureau, Employment Services Office, Ministry of Education, and International Affairs of the Secretariat welcomed them warmly. Aside from the hub tour, they also had a fruitful discussion on the learning environment, scholarship application, and employment opportunities.
Deputy Mayor Linghu mentioned that as a part of the global community, Taichung currently has 26 sister cities and 13 friendship cities as their international partners. He thanked CYUT for arranging this visit, which he believed was a great opportunity for international students to comprehend the vision, major infrastructure, and welfare policies of Taichung City.
The visit helped students to know more about the friendly learning environment of Taichung.
