朝陽新聞

編者按：阿格拉瓦博士(Dr. Dinesh Agrawal)是理工學院院長蔡新聲博士之國科會計畫印度藉博士後研究人員，任職期間為2005年8月至2007年1月。由於在台研究期間，充份感受到朝陽生技所師生的熱情與貼心，在即將離台之際，特別投稿表達對朝陽的感謝與對台灣的思念。

　　我在來到台灣前，曾去過幾個國家，如美國、德國、英國等，但特別喜歡留在台灣的日子，我喜歡台灣以及這個國家的人們。待在朝陽生技所從事研究工作已18個月，我即將於2007年1月30日離開，因此我用我的母語(印度文)作了一首歌，來表達我對台灣的不捨。在此，我將這首歌翻成英文，讓它得以被翻成中文，獻給我所喜愛的台灣。 ─阿格拉瓦

I will miss you a lot! I will miss you a lot! O! Taiwan, I will miss you a lot!
I never thought, one day I will see the ‘Formosa’, ‘the beautiful Island’,
But, when came here, I found the ‘Heaven’ on Earth,
There is so much strife and trouble, in other parts of the world!
It is hard to believe, such a peaceful place exists on the earth!
Beautiful girls, with fashion and smile,
Innocent young people, loving, for a while,
I say from bottom of my heart, I will miss you a lot! I will miss you a lot!
You touch my heart, and remain seated there,
I say from my heart, and feel no harm here,
You don’t feel insecure, that I am not from this Land,
Embrace me in arms, as we go hand in hand,
You miss my language, but speak through your heart,
Feel shy like a bride, but help me, don’t hurt,
I say from bottom of my heart, I will miss you a lot! I will miss you a lot!
I share my wish, that I come again here,
Be more places like you on the earth, and happiness everywhere!

難以致信地，竟然還存在著一個如此和平的地方！
那笑容洋溢的美麗時尚女孩，
那可愛純真的少年，

你們輕觸我的心房，烙下屬於這塊土地的印記，
沒有任何傷害， 我在心中默默的唸著…
既便我來自他鄉，你們也不覺得生疏，
