Building a Sustainable Future: Insights from IEEE ICACEH 2024

The 6th IEEE International Conference on Architecture, Construction, Environment, and Hydraulics (ICACEH) was held at Chaoyang University of Technology (CYUT) from December 6th to 8th. The conference focused on net-zero emissions, sustainable development, environmental engineering, architectural design, construction engineering, and hydraulic engineering. Renowned keynote speakers Dr. Chuen-Jinn Tsai from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) and Dr. Chien-Ho Ko from the University of Kansas delivered insightful presentations well-received by attendees.

      The conference featured over 40 papers covering various topics, including green buildings, ecological architecture, building energy management, innovative construction and development, digital construction, geographic information and remote sensing science, and water resource management. As a co-host, CYUT's College of Science and Engineering highlighted the rapid advancements in architecture, construction, environment, and hydraulics, driven by computer networking, big data, and artificial intelligence, as well as the growing emphasis on net-zero emissions and sustainability. The conference brought together engineers and scholars from diverse fields to share knowledge, explore new ideas, and address challenges for a sustainable future.
